Composition:
Marboflox contains 20 mg of marbofloxacin and 20 mg of ribavirin as active ingredients in 1.0 ml, as well as auxiliary components: sodium hydroxide, sodium thiosulfate and solvent – up to 1.0 ml.
Indications:
The drug is used for colibacillosis, pasteurellosis, salmonellosis, mycoplasmosis, chlamydia, staphylococcosis, swine erysipelas, swine bordetellosis, MMA syndrome, associative diseases of bacterial and viral etiology, for viral diseases with damage to the respiratory organs and gastrointestinal tract, infections of unknown etiology and other infections caused by pathogens sensitive to the drug in young farm animals, pigs, cats and dogs (distemper, adenovirus, viral enteritis, hepatitis, salmonellosis, mycoplasmosis, chlamydia, etc.).
Pharmacological properties
The mechanism of action of marbofloxacin is based on the inhibition of DNA gyrase, which leads to disruption of protein synthesis by the microbial cell and its death. It has a wide spectrum of bactericidal action against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, as well as mycoplasmas, chlamydia and rickettsiae. Not active against obligate anaerobes. Ribavirin belongs to the group of synthetic antiviral agents. The drug competitively inhibits inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase and inhibits the synthesis of viral DNA and RNA.
Doses and method of application
For calves, pigs, dogs and cats, the drug is administered intramuscularly or subcutaneously at a dose of 1 ml per 10 kg of animal weight, once a day for 3-5 days at regular intervals.
Contraindications:
The combined use of the drug with antibiotics of the groups of chloramphenicol, amphenicol, tetracycline, macrolides, nitrofurans, as well as with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs is contraindicated. Do not prescribe to pregnant women and animals with hypersensitivity to the drug.
Withdrawal period:
Meat – calves 6 days, Meat – pigs 4 days

at temperatures from 2ºС to 25ºС, 2 years from the date of manufacture.
