COMPOSITION
Marboflex 10% Injectable Solution is a clear, pale yellow – yellow colored sterile solution. Each ml contains 100 mg of marbofloxacin.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
Marboflex 10% Injectable Solution is indicated in cattle for the treatment of respiratory system infections, acute mastitis and metritis caused by P. multocida, P. haemolytica and Mycoplasma bovis.
ADMINISTRATION ROUTES AND AMOUNTS
Unless advised otherwise by the veterinarian, Marboflex 10% Injectable Solution is used as follows:
Respiratory system infections:
Administer intramuscularly (IM) as a single dose of 8 mg/kg bw, i.e. 2 ml for each 25 kg bw.
Administer intramuscularly (IM), intravenously (IV) or subcutaneously (SC) at the dose of 2 mg/kg bw / day, i.e. 1 ml for each 50 kg bw. Continue the treatment for 3 – 5 days.
Acute mastitis and metritis:
Administer intramuscularly (IM), intravenously (IV) or subcutaneously (SC) at the dose of 2 mg/kg bw / day, i.e. 1 ml for each 50 kg bw. Continue the treatment for 3 – 5 days.
If the amount to be administered is more than 20 ml, the dose should be divided and injected into different sites.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD(S)
Cattle producing meat for human consumption should not be slaughtered during the treatment and for 6 days after the last treatment. Do not use the cow milk for human consumption during the treatment and for 1.5 days (3 milkings) after the last treatment.
MARKETING PACKAGING
Sold as 20 ml, 50 ml, 100 ml and 250 ml in amber colored glass vials and 500 ml in amber colored polyethylene terephthalate vial inside cardboard boxes.
