COMPOSITION: Vetbicin-3 contains a mixture of three antibiotics as active ingredients:

For a dosage of 1,200,000 IU: Benzylpenicillin benzathine – 400,000 IU, benzylpenicillin sodium salt – 400,000 IU and benzylpenicillin procaine – 400,000 IU.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES: Vetbicin-3 is a complex antibacterial medicine containing three biosynthetic penicillins, has a broad spectrum of antibacterial activity against predominantly gram-positive microorganisms, including streptococci, staphylococci, pneumococci, diplococci, spirochetes, anthrax bacilli, corynebacteria; does not act against anaerobic bacteria, mycobacteria, fungi, viruses and rickettsia.

METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE: Vetbicin-3 is prescribed to animals and birds for treatment of pasteurellosis, bronchopneumonia, diseases of the genitourinary system, necrobacteriosis, streptococcosis, actinomycosis, emphysematous carbuncle, as well as other primary and secondary infections caused by pathogens sensitive to penicillin antibiotics.

Before use, perforate the cap and stopper of Vetbicin-3 bottle with a needle and add 5-6 ml of water for injection (or 0.9% sterile sodium chloride solution or 1-2% sterile procaine solution) into the bottle, shake well until a homogeneous suspension is formed, which must be immediately injected deep into the animal’s muscle.

Obtained suspension must be administered to animals by single intramuscular injection in the following doses:

Large cattle 10 000-15 000 IU/kg animal weight
Horses 10 000-15 000 IU/kg animal weight
Small cattle 15 000-20 000 IU/kg animal weight
Pigs 10 000-20 000 IU/kg animal weight
Fur-bearing animals 50 000-60 000 IU / animal
Rabbits 10 000-15 000 IU / animal
Turkeys, geese, ducks 100 000 IU/kg animal weight

If necessary, Vetbicin-3 must be administered again after 3-4 days.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: With an increased individual sensitivity of the animal to antibiotics of the penicillin and procaine series, administration of the medicine is contraindicated.

SIDE EFFECTS: After taking the medicine according to the instructions, side effects are not generally recorded.

WAITING PERIOD: Slaughter of animals for meat is allowed no earlier than 14 days after the last administration of the medicine.

Milk from animals, obtained during treatment and for 10 days after the last administration of the medicine, is forbidden to be used for food purposes.

SPECIAL STORAGE PRECAUTIONS: The medicine is stored in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight, at a temperature of 0-250C.

SHELF LIFE: 3 years.

PRESENTATION: The medicine is supplied in 600,000 IU or 1,200,000 IU, packed in neutral glass vials with a capacity of 10 ml or 20 ml.
